THE CIRCUIT by LO-FI SAINT LOUIS

How many do you actually use?

Me:
Linked in: Business Associates, friends and families. Haven't really netted me a job but it's not bad. I check it once a month.

Facebook: What the fuck. What a noisy piece of trash. Have an account, never really use it.

del.icio.us social bookmarking: I post a shit load book marks for myself, but I don't share them with anyone in particular.

Blogger: I have some efriends around the US and we comment on each others blogs, but that's about it. Traffic comes and goes.

Myspace: I have an account, but don't really collect friends. I do get messages from a few friends now and again. That's how I was picked up here. I think

Meetup: I've been a member, and have met up twice. I just RSVPed for a figure drawing thingie next week.

The Circuit: Let's see what develops, shall we?

I'm on quite a few myself. The ones I use most are, Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, YouTube, Linkedin, Flickr ... and The Circuit of course. Some are more useful than others. One of the reasons I started the Circuit is because I thought it would be cool to have something local. There is actually a chance that you might see some people on here if you are out and about in town. Speaking of which, I've been talking to the Atomic Cowboy about having a regular Circuit meetup there about once a month. I'll keep you posted on what develops.

BeerAdvocate - This is the one I spend the most time on. Yes, I like beer that much.

MySpace - because I'm a whore

Funny or Die - I just started poking around on this one. Will Ferrel started this one and there is some really funny shit there

YouTube - for stuff

Flickr - I need to upload more stuff

Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, MyBlogLog, Linkedin, YouTube, Flickr, del.icio.us, Meetup, Netflix, Flixster, and several Ning networks (The Circuit, The GaragePunk Hideout, St. Louis Area Mopars, Video Bizarre, Crazy About Mopars, etc.). I have a page on STLPunk.com, too (what a waste of bandwidth!).

I guess the only big one I never joined was Friendster. Don't remember if I've even looked at it, to be honest...

Wow, that's a lot.

I'm not too sure about the twitter thing. I signed up but never used it.

But thanks for the reminder. I've also joined Flickr, YouTube and Stumble, and MyBlogLog, but I never use the social networking aspects.

Crap that's alot.

Shit and LiveJournal too specifically just to comment on LJ members

Twitter is much more useful than at first glance. I find it useful for getting news that I wouldn't get elsewhere as well as links to sites to check out. Good browsing tool--but it only works if you follow a lot of people. If a lot of people follow you, you can generate some traffic pretty quickly to something. I first heard about the assassination of Benazir Bhutto on Twitter.

I probably use Twitter more than any other site.

I use Twitter occasionally, and try to post the GaragePunk Podcasts there daily, but honestly, there's very little there that I find interesting. I'm not a big tech or news/media geek, so a lot of the stuff that I see twittered there just doesn't interest me. Now, on the other hand, if more people I knew used it, it could be totally different. Even the people I do know that are on there very rarely use it themselves, if they use it at all (with maybe a few exceptions, you being one, obviously).

Here are my two Twitter accounts if anyone wants to follow 'em:

Probably too many: Flickr, Twitter, Last FM, MyBlogLog, LibraryThing (which isn't really a social network, but it's sort of going that way)...

and a handful of others where I'm a member, but fairly inactive like Rate Your Music or iLike. I've never made a MySpace or Facebook account, though. I haven't needed to yet.

myspace, youtube, garagepunk hideout, flickr, and the circuit of coarse. I've looked at twitter but it doesn't interest me at all. I don't really need to know every time someone scratches their balls. I spend the most time on myspace. Everyone is there afterall.

Myspace, The Circuit, and that's it. I spend most of my free time playing drums and working on band stuff.

That's good because YOU need to focus. Even though I don't know you, if you're doing band stuff and sharpening your chops, you can be fucking around. This shit's a huge time sink. Keep up the good work.
