In partnership with the gallery is Youth Education and Health in Soulard. YEHS is a nonprofit community-based organization that was founded in 1972 to develop needed services in order to save the historic Soulard neighborhood from being torn down and to prevent the displacement of low and moderate income residents of the area. YEHS also hosts summer employment/training, tutoring, and recreation for disadvantaged St. Louis youths.

The Soulard Art Market and Contemporary Art Gallery is calling for submissions to ”Winter Blues" a juried exhibition of artists that reflects any and all aspects of the blues i.e. Blues Music, the color blue, to feel 'blue'.
The Exhibition runs from January 8, 2009, 2009 through February 7, 2009.
We are looking to represent over 30 artists in our Contemporary Art Gallery, exhibiting with our 14 resident artists.

* Each artist may submit up to three original works for consideration.
* We are looking for all forms of art, styles and points of view.
* 2D work should be no larger than 4ft x 4ft in total.
Must be framed and ready for hanging.

"The Beauty Within", a juried exhibition of local artists from June 12, 2008 to July 6, 2008
Work will be displayed in the main gallery along with our studio artists.
Each artist can submit up to 2 original works. We accept most media (Sorry, NO video or
ceiling-suspended artwork.)
Submission Guidelines:
- No more than 2 Pieces of work to be juried.
- Sculpture should be no larger than: Height: 10 sq ft (Height: 6ft, Width: 2ft.) -sculpture must have a stand or be displayable on a 10" deep
windowsill.
- Framed 2D artwork must be ready for hanging with wire (no saw tooth hangers).
- All artwork for consideration MUST be submitted via JPEG/JPG image.
- Accompanying e-mail must include title/ media/measurements, contact e-mail
address, and phone number.
- File size for each work cannot exceed 500kb and must be attached in jpg (jpeg) format.
- Website address submissions will NOT be accepted.

The Soulard Art Market and Contemporary Art Gallery is pleased to announce the opening reception of the “Winter Peace” exhibit on Thursday, December 13th, and Friday , December 14, 2007 from 7pm to 10pm . “Winter Peace” is a juried exhibition that will feature 25 exciting artists with a variety of media. Admission to the exhibition is free and open to the public. Artwork will be offered for sale and the artists will be on-site to interact with the public and discuss their work. The exhibition will run through Jan 2, 2008. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Salvation Army.
